Dr. Jennifer Skeem Leads National Conversation on Mental Health Crisis Response at Quattrone Symposium

At the Quattrone Center’s 2025 Spring Symposium “Conversations on Criminal Justice Reform”, Lab Faculty Director Dr. Jennifer Skeem led a session on improving call center responses to behavioral health emergencies. The event, held at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, brought together leading voices in justice reform for two days of dialogue on advancing evidence-based solutions in the criminal legal system.
Dr. Skeem’s session drew from the Lab’s ongoing work at the intersection of mental health and public safety, highlighting the role of data and field-based research in shaping smarter, more humane crisis response systems. As with all of our work at Risk Resilience Research, the focus was on identifying what truly works—through rigorous analysis, real-world application, and a deep commitment to justice, safety, and well-being for people and communities at risk.
