We’re seeking a positive, dedicated Youth Development Specialist for our innovative videogame-supported, school-based therapeutic program! Help prevent aggression and promote positive development among early adolescents in the Bay Area. Lead intervention sessions, teach self-control skills, and make a significant impact on young lives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Videogame Sessions: Supervise practice and organize bi-weekly tournaments.
- Teach Self-Control Skills: Implement engaging strategies for self-control.
- Monitor Progress: Assess students and parents regularly.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in meetings and share insights.
- Support Research Goals: Assist in advancing the research project.
Qualifications:
- Experience with Young People: Training or experience with early adolescents (9-12) in a school or after-school setting.
- Group Facilitation: Ethical, non-judgmental, and non-discriminatory group facilitation.
- Team Player: Effective and cooperative in a team environment.
- Cultural Responsiveness: Engage with diverse populations and respect cultural differences.
- Availability: Available 12pm-5pm, with flexibility for occasional meetings.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation to local/regional sites.
